10 Ways You Know You Go to a Party School
1. Every holiday is an excuse to party- Any school will party hard on Saint Patty’s day, but the real party schools will find any excuse or holidays to go all out on. From Ceaser Chavez to Halloween, party schools go big especially on holidays.
2. Your school has a hilarious confessions page- From one night stands to tales of cheating on loved ones, these confessions can be dirty, raunchy, and all out funny. All good party schools have epic confessions pages that spread gossip and rumors throughout campus.
3. The Night no one remembers- Some would say you can have “The night no one remembers” at any school, but if you go to a party school you or your crew will have a story or tale as such. It was the night that only bits and pieces can be recalled because either you, or the whole crew was blacked out. Hey it happens, it’s college
4. The freshmen 15- The freshmen 15 is real and can hit hard especially at party schools known for drinking. This 15 extra pounds of fun hits mainly on the female populations as alcohol consumption skyrockets with freshmen across the country.
5. Burning couches- Weather it be burning couches for insane holiday parties or no reason at all, lighting couches on fire has become almost ritual at top party schools. From UCSB to Chico State these schools are notorious for burning couches.
6. School makes Top annual party list- From the Princeton Review to Playboys annual list of top party schools, any school past or present on these list goes hard. Schools must have hot girls, good parties, and plenty of boozing to stay competitive on these list.
7. School makes local or national news- It’s not always positive press but at one time or another every top party college school has had its scandals and controversy’s. From frats and sorority’s getting banned on campus to schools making national news for drinking related deaths all top schools make the news.
8. Thirsty Thursday is the start of the weekend binge- Any college that gets down starts hard on Thursday and doesn’t stop till Monday. From Thursday night drink specials to Sunday morning mimosas, alcohol and party schools go hand in hand.
9. Greek life- Most big party schools have Frats and Sororities but the best party schools are known to have legendary Greek life on and off campus. From themed parties to social events, schools with active Greek life keep it diverse and add another aspect to party schools.
10. Drug and alcohol use runs rampant- This does not apply to everyone for the college experience, but drugs and booze are a part of the college culture. From massive 4/20 celebrations at the University of Colorado to large scale drug bust at SDSU, drugs and drinking come with territory.
